LePera Bare Bones Solo Sportster

This review is going to talk about the LePera Bare Bones Solo seat for a Sportster and will be written from a ladies point of view. My wife replaced the stock seat on her Sportster with this seat and loves it.

LePera Bare Bones Solo Look

Harley Bare Bones Sportster SeatThere is no question that the LePera Bare Bones Solo is a good looking seat. It is low slung and sleek and if you are into the solo seat look then this seat fits the bill. We purchased the non-gel version as I haven't heard a whole lot of good things about gel seats so we went old school.

I will occasionally ride her Sporty and what I liked about this seat is that it sits you lower and further back than the stock Harley seat. The stocker also seemed to fit me wrong in that I would find myself sitting on the hump. This problem disappeared with the LePera Bare Bones Harley seat.

LePera Bare Bones Fit

The LePera Bare Bones fits your Harley Davidson like a glove. The seat installed easily in just a few minutes and fit like a glove. You need to be careful that you order the correct seat for your Sportster because they can be different depending on which tank you have.

The seat was perfect for my wife and she reports that it was much narrower in the front (between the legs) than the stocker and did not spread her legs as wide, which is apparently a more comfortable seating position, at least for her. She also is adamant that the seat cradled her better and did not slide around as much as on the bigger, wider and taller stock Sportster seat.

The foam is firm and gives a lot of support and is quite comfortable. Ride comfort is very subjective as everyone is different but be warned that this seat is by no means intended to be a seat for long haul type road warriors. It's quite comfortable and I can ride mine for quite some time but it's not exactly a pillow seat.

Conclusion

In a nutshell I would strongly recommend a LePera Bare Bones Solo harley seat if you are fond of the low, lean and mean solo seat look. It's a very attractive seat that is well built, comfortable and appears to be quite durable. It is also very reasonably priced.

I would strongly recommend the LePera Bare Bones Solo to anyone looking for a Harley seat. Check these below out carefully and see if it's the right seat for you.
